The Annual Wardens’ Election will be held on Sunday, December 2nd, immediately following the 11 a.m. Mass.

This year three positions will need to be filled. Gina Yee and Palma Pierantozzi’s terms have expired, however both are eligible to serve another term. Michael Gentile has submitted his resignation effective December 1st, and we will need to elect a warden to finish out the year Michael had remaining on his term.

Fr. Mike would like to express his heartfelt thanks to all the wardens and, in particular, to thank Michael for his service to our parish and the revitalization process we’ve begun. We wish him well this coming year as he devotes himself to his family and especially to his newborn twin daughters.

This year our parish has applied for a change in our constitution in order to expand the field of candidates for warden. Wardens must be Roman Catholic, at least 18 years old, residents of the Archdiocese of Montreal, and must be registered in our parish Management and Accounting database for at least one year.

Please note that this is a change from the past, as wardens are no longer required to live within the parish boundaries. Now anyone who is automatically registered in the parish (that is, envelope users, online givers, and individuals on our parish email list) can vote and run as a warden, provided they reside within the Archdiocese of Montreal (island of Montreal and Laval).
