I feel blessed and excited to be part of the team at St. Ignatius!
The vision of Christian community that has taken root here was what drew my family to this parish. I look forward to engaging in ministry with children that will help them feel a sense of belonging, that will emphasize our core belief that God loves each of us personally, and that will support them in becoming active Christians in service to the community and the world.
My husband Tom and I moved to Montreal in the summer of 2017. We are most recently from Baltimore, Maryland, where I worked as a teacher and administrator for eighteen years. I have also lived in Toronto, where our three sons were born, and in New York, where I grew up.
Theology and religious education are my major areas of study, and I received my formation in these areas at universities in the Philippines and Toronto. In addition, I am certified in Levels 1, 2, and 3 of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, an approach to children’s religious education based on the practices of Maria Montessori. My Catholic hero is Pope Francis!
